Requirements
- WordPress 6.4 or later
- PHP 8.1 or later
- WooCommerce, EDD, or Surecart (optional — for cart attribution)
1. Install the plugin
- Download Asteris Affiliates from your account at pay.asteriscommerce.com/account.
- In WordPress admin: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the .zip.
- Activate.
2. Run the onboarding wizard
On activation, Asteris Affiliates redirects to Affiliates → Onboarding. The wizard captures:
- Business details (name, ABN/EIN, default currency)
- Default commission rate (10% is the typical starting point)
- Payout method (PayPal API, manual PayPal, bank transfer)
- Cookie duration (30 / 60 / 90 days — 60 is standard)
3. Approve your first affiliate
Affiliates sign up at /affiliate-portal (or wherever you set the registration page). Approve from Affiliates → Pending → Approve.
4. Pay out
Commissions accrue per completed order. Run payouts manually from Affiliates → Payouts → Run Batch, or schedule via WP-CLI: wp asteris-aff run-payouts.

Do I need anything before installing?

How long does setup take?
Most stores are running in 15 minutes from install to first affiliate approved.
